When it comes to healthcare products and services, Mr. Oosdyke knows both ends of the business and the intricacies that managed care has brought into the picture. His knowledge spurred him to launch National Contracts, Inc. (NCI) in 1986. He sold NCI in 2000. NCI's primary goal was to orchestrate the delivery of healthcare products and services to suppliers, providers, purchasing groups and integrated delivery networks. As an extension of NCI's Educational Services, Mr. Oosdyke developed the nationally renowned Health Care Executive Forum, and the IDN Summit which brings together key executives from all facets of the healthcare industry.
In the mid 1970's, Mr. Oosdyke began his career in healthcare distribution services while later moving on to experience the manufacturing side of healthcare with 3M and Milcare of Herman Miller. His past experience includes developing healthcare companies, healthcare marketing and sales, sales management, corporate accounts development and implementation of highly successful group contracting programs.
Mr. Oosdyke has published many articles, including a series on corporate account management for the Health Industry. In the past two years, he has written over 20 articles for OFDA Magazine, The Monday Morning Quarterback and other medical journals and has served as a featured speaker at industry meetings for NeoCon, OFDA, The Health Industry Distributors Association, Federation of American Health Systems, Health Industry Manufacturers Association, SMG, Medical Data International, and the Medical Marketing Group of America . Over the last three years, Mr. Oosdyke delivered many speeches regarding the healthcare furnishings industry on how to improve penetration for their products, services and opportunities facing the furnishings industry today. In working with manufacturers, dealers, distributors, GPOs, IDNs and sales representatives, the HCFI concept was formed. HCFI was refined while we worked with Steelcase in developing their new Nurture Healthcare strategic plan and many of their dealers. HCFI's solutions were developed within the healthcare furnishings dealers and the furniture industry in general. When coupled with his background in the medical industry, HCFI was born.
